Grizzly bear tour, Bella Coola Tweedsmuir Park
What better way to explore this untapped region of Canada than with a knowledgeable guide from the area, experienced in outdoor pursuits and ready to show you something out of the ordinary on your wilderness holiday.

Bella Coola Mountain Lodge has partnered with Kynoch Adventures, a second generation family run business operating a variety of tours for our guests and visitors throughout BC's Central Coast & Tweedsmuir Park.

From rivers and inlets, to alpine lakes; the central coast has it all. While not every tour results in guests seeing a bear, most visitors to this region will see bears. In fact, from late August to mid October you are almost guaranteed to see several bears on a single tour.

With deluxe tourism lodging at Bella Coola Mountain Lodge,  our partner tour company Kynoch Adventures has created a complete tour package suited to 'adventurous' or 'relaxed' outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy. Summer programs and trips start in June and run through October, with relaxing eco-rafting tours, exciting salmon snorkel tours,  informative hiking tours and excursions into the inlet and estuary to see the central coast. In the fall Grizzly bear tours are our most popular tours, and reliable bear viewing is typically best between  August 15 and October 15.  These tours are operated in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park.

Kynoch Adventures maintains active membership in BC Wilderness Tourism Association (BCWTA) and the Commercial Bear Viewing Association of BC (CBVA); two of the most prominent advocacy groups for promoting sustainable tourism in BC, and encourage guests to consider these sustainable choices we have made when choosing their holiday arrangements!
